Okay so it seemed that I just couldn't take thursday being my last day at Jewish Family services so I decided to spend two more days with them and I am really looking forward to it. Today I hanged out with Khalil again and I helped him clean out the storage so I could be easier to find the things that they need for the family that is coming. They sure have a lot of things in there. We also went and donated a lot of the things that they didn't need to some african store in El Cajon which seemed to have a lot of junk but useful junk.

Today wasn't a volunteering day but more like a volunteer appreciation event. Most of the volunteers went and we got the chance to get to know each other and say what exactly we have been working on. I met these girls who work with two iraqui families. They help the family settle and learn the english language. We ate pizza and cake, which by the way was really good. We also played in a raffle but I was unfortunate and didn't win the raffle tickets. Oh and this was on a sunday. I think this was the first time I have ever hanged out

Today is the day on which I complete my 40 hours and to tell you the truth I wish I got the chance to spend more time with the jewish family services. Even though I did a lot of filing and stuff it was a wonderful experience. I got to spend time with a lot of different people and wasn't really assigned to one person. I really enjoyed helping Tom and his lady friend. They have a wonderful way of working together. There office might seem quiet but they sure aren't. I enjoyed talking to Kristy's neighbors, Yelena, Khalil, and Liz. They have a wonderful personality which makes there working place a wonderful place to be. I'm really going to miss them. I have finally completed my requirements.

Today was an exciting day. I didn't spend the whole day in the office like the usual but I got the chance to hang out with this guy named Khalil. He is a real neat guy and very funny. We got to know each other pretty well and I got to try some really good sandwiches. They were called kababs or something like that. It was a wonderful experience in trying a different type of food. I got the chance to listen to some arabic music, which by the way is very different but enjoying. It's like bedtime songs because they were putting me to sleep.

Yesterday I went to volunteer at the Jewish Family Service and it was not the funnest of times. We did a lot of filing because the government was going to check on the refugee files that JFS is helping with. We sat for about 7 hours and we learned how to say some words in the arabic language. Oh and we taught this lady more of words in spanish to upgrade her skills.

Yesterday was my second day at The jewish family service and it wasn't as exciting as the first time I went. I mostly filed paperwork for the really nice lady named Yelena but she prefers to be called Elena. My mentor Tammy wasn't there yesterday so I didn't have much fun. By the way her birthday is today so Happy birthday. Oh and I spend 6 hrs.

First Day
today was the first day at the jewish family service and it was a wonderful experience. At the beginning I could wait to get out because it was kind of boring just sitting my butt down on the chair looking at a computer but after lunch it all got better. I interacted with my mentor and she was a blast. We even cracked some jokes and she even said I was pretty cool and that means a lot coming from a lawyer (you can't really tell she's one but she is). When it came time to leave I honestly didn't wanna leave it was that exciting. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back on the 21st. This day I approximately did around 6ish hours of volunteering.
